ErySweet is powdered erythritol—a natural alcohol sweetener produced through the fermentation of corn. It is moderately sweet; approximately 60 to 70% as sweet as sugar. This mildly sweet polyol is ideal for use as a bulking sweetener, for extending the shelf life of baked goods through lowering water activity, and for sweetening low viscosity sauces and beverages. At the standard mesh size, the appearance of ErySweet is white and crystalline. However, ErySweet is also available in an Ultra Mesh and Supreme Mesh—a fine powder closely resembling 10X confectioners’ sugar. Exceptionally pH stable, ErySweet works well in jams, jellies, and fillings. At finer mesh sizes, it can also be used to formulate smooth, nongranular, reduced-calorie icings, fondants, cream fillings, meal replacement bars, drink mixes, sauces, and dressings. ErySweet can be used as a standalone sweetener, or in conjunction with high intensity sweeteners and fibers. When combined with high intensity sweeteners like stevia, monk fruit, or thaumatin, the sweetening blend provides a neutral flavor profile that can be used as a plug-and-play replacement for sugar. ErySweet is non-GMO, kosher, and is available in both conventional and organic certified versions. Because our ErySweet is derived without the use of chemicals, it can be used to support a clean label claim.
